This is a remake or reimagining of the old and rather unique Such a Sharp Pain. Well, for starters, it’s unclear what the creator was thinking when he made the original—some projects got banned for much less, and the original game was outright lolicon, so it was only a matter of time before it got taken down, and he actually got off easy… The plot almost completely mirrors the original, and the characters are well-developed. The ridiculous moments have carried over into the new game as well—for example, the fact that everyone falls for the main character at first sight. You can forgive that in the original (since the characters there are immature and easily manipulated), but here it comes across as a bit odd. The graphics are top-notch, the character models are beautiful and unique, and there aren’t many H-scenes yet—I’m curious to see how the author will rework the scenes from the first game. On the downside, I’d like to point out the H-scenes: they’re all AI-generated, which is glaringly obvious and looks out of place.
I recommend the game, but only if you’re familiar with the original and are curious to see how the author has reworked the visual novel.
