The Fixer is an adult life sim lite visual novel. You take the role of the protagonist, Samantha who is a Fixer. In order to solve her employer’s problems she has to face different challenges such as investigating industrial sabotage, diplomacy between factions and tracking down troublemakers. But she needs somehow to carry on with her everyday life while dealing with her missions.
After playing through one of the origin stories, Samantha finds herself in Blaston, having been rescued by the cities main power base and in return she agrees to work for them as a “Fixer” who solves potentially sensitive problems using tact, diplomacy or underhanded means. Will she manage to make a difference to the town and its power brokers or will she fall into the pit of depravity and despair along with the majority of residents in Blaston?

The game is simply excellent; I really hope they finish it. In games where you control the female protagonist, in my opinion, you should have character customization for the female character, as, for example, in this game — here it’s done just perfectly. What you wear affects how other characters treat you, and that’s a huge plus for the game, not to mention the interesting quests and the decent plot. I really liked the game, especially compared to typical visual novels, which have become a bit boring. There may be no animations here, but there are other interesting mechanics, stats that affect the main character’s behavior, and so on… Overall, I definitely recommend it.

The game is wonderful and captivating; it offers a wealth of possibilities — you can do whatever you want. There’s a huge number of choices for the main character — what kind of life should they have? The developer’s idea is great. It’s a pity there’s no translator for this game in Russian. It’s interesting to read the entire plot and story. The characters are beautifully developed, and there are tons of locations. I like the full customization options for the main character.

For some reason, in this particular game, I want to protect the main character as much as possible, rather than exploit them. I don’t know what’s up with that — usually it’s the other way around with female protagonists… )
