The first season has come to an end, and it’s quite an enjoyable slice of everyday life for a straight-A student and athlete. It’s understandable that several girls took notice of him right away, because he’s fit, eloquent, and doesn’t act like a jerk, at least in my playthrough.
But it’s nice that there are several female characters who aren’t interested in the main character, as well as other guys who can be friends or rivals, and in general, you can feel that there is life beyond the main character’s social circle.
What’s missing is some kind of intrigue, which it’s about time to introduce.
In my opinion, the game is clearly underrated. It has an interesting plot, diverse female characters, high-quality animations, and pleasant music. An excellent game overall.
Well, it’s rubbish, with a pretty picture.
Disappointing, but it’s my fault, I set my expectations too high.
Dull dialogues throughout the game, as if it were for children, a bunch of moments where I cringed, a useless, so far absolutely useless, karma system? (egoist or altruist points), choices that have absolutely no effect on anything.
It’s a harem where no one reacts to the relationships between the main character and the girls, and there’s zero difference between these girls in the dialogues as a whole.
The “perfect” main character with built-in HERO syndrome. Where every lady wants this Apollo. Stereotypical characters, as diverse as they come.
The plot is absolutely uninspired, mundane, and full of clichés. (Deliberately inserted clichés, so the clichés are even a plus.)
Overall, it’s an easy game to read, not claiming to be a top-tier title.
I didn’t see any growth from the author since the previous game, except maybe the graphics, but that’s more of a hardware issue.
For me (even though I’m a lawyer), this emphasis on education can’t be a plus, because there’s no learning here; the characters are just geniuses from the get-go (especially the main character, but more on him later). The characters are completely flat; some are good, some are not so good, that’s all. Every girl can be described in one sentence: “I’m cheerful, ready for anything new, if you play your cards right, you can easily get me.” Wow, what depth of character. The main character is the epitome of perfection, the only difference between him and Superman is that he can’t fly. Where did the author see such teenagers? I didn’t see any comedy or drama. It’s just teenagers talking and studying, and every girl trying to seduce the main character. I guess some people like that.
